Stefanie McCain, MD, FACOG

Stefanie McCain, MD, FACGOG

Owner / Gynecologist

Dr. McCain is a Board-Certified Gynecologist with over 26 years of experience in this field, with 20 of those years in Abilene. She opened her practice in Abilene in 1997 after serving 12 years as an obstetrician and gynecologist in The United States Airforce, eventually retiring as a Major from Dyess Airforce Base.  Dr. McCain retired from practicing obstetrics in 2015 after delivering babies for 26 years. She is now able to focus on gynecology, specializing in minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries using the DaVinci robotic platform.

Dr. McCain was the first Board Certified gynecologist to perform a robotic-assisted hysterectomy in Abilene and currently has performed the most robotic gynecologic procedures in the area.

Dr. McCain is passionate in her ability to offer bioidentical hormone optimization for both women and men, allowing her patients to age healthier and live happier. She is a Platinum Legacy Provider for BioTE Hormone Pellets.

Dr. McCain is a Fellow with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, a member of the Texas Medical Association and a member the Taylor-Jones-Haskell County Medical Society.

Family Nurse Practitioner

Taylor Shirley, APRN, FNP-C, is a certified family nurse practitioner whose blend of compassion and expertise profoundly enhances the care at BioEnve. She began her nursing career by earning a bachelor’s degree in nursing from The University of Texas Medical Branch and has built a diverse professional background encompassing family practice, neurology, and community health.

After completing her family nurse practitioner training, Taylor earned her master’s degree from Texas Woman's University, where she discovered a deep-seated passion for women’s health and bioidentical hormone optimization . Since then, she has dedicated herself to providing comprehensive and personalized care.

Taylor’s approach to healthcare is marked by genuine attentiveness, heartfelt warmth, and a profound respect for her patients’ concerns, ensuring that each individual feels heard, valued, and understood.

Stacy Hammond is a board-certified nurse practitioner with an extensive background in internal medicine and cardiovascular health. She completed her Family Nurse Practitioner training and master’s degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center, graduating with honors in 1997. She later went on to earn her Doctorate at Baylor University. Dr. Hammond has served as clinical site coordinator for multiple international research studies. She has also completed advanced training and certification in medical aesthetics, laser therapies, and PRP rejuvenation.  

Dr. Hammond is an expert in the field of sexual health and bioidentical hormone optimization. She serves as mentor, instructor, lecturer, and manager of clinical field specialists at BioTE Medical. She trains other physicians and practitioners the art of pellet insertion technique. She is recognized as a Legacy Platinum Provider for Biote and was awarded as a “top 10 provider” in the nation.  

In her 27+ years of practice, Dr. Hammond has gained comprehensive experience, which has prepared her for managing patients holistically and completely to help guide them toward a therapeutic wellness model. Having had her life personally changed from hormonal balance, she strives to focus on the patient as a whole and meet their individual needs and concerns in a personal manner.

Family Nurse Practitioner | Hormonal Health & Functional Medicine Specialist

Ann Ellison is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for promoting hormonal health and overall wellness through a functional medicine approach. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University in 2004 and began her career as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Baylor University Medical Center, where she provided women’s health care for eight years.

In 2011, Ann returned to Texas Woman’s University to complete her Master of Science in Nursing, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. Since then, she has built a diverse background in family and community medicine as well as internal medicine. Her current focus is on hormonal health and wellness for both men and women, helping patients achieve balance and vitality through individualized, evidence-based care.

Ann is happy to have returned to her roots within Brown County, where she continues to serve her community with compassion and dedication. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys life on her family’s ranch in Stephenville, Texas. She and her family are active in the rodeo community, and she loves traveling and reading in her spare time.
